Auto Insurance
Eyes on the Road. We'll Take Care of the Rest.
As a mutual insurer owned by our policyholders, we are not looking to sell you the most expensive policy. We are looking to find you the right one. Our advisors take the time to understand how you drive, what you drive, and what matters most to you.
What's Covered
First, the Standard Features.
Third-Party Liability
Covers you if you are at fault in an accident that causes injury to another person or damage to their property. The minimum required in Ontario is $200,000, but most drivers carry $1,000,000 or $2,000,000 for better protection.
Statutory Accident Benefits
Provides income replacement, medical and rehabilitation coverage, and other benefits if you or your passengers are injured in an accident, regardless of who is at fault.
Direct Compensation
Covers damage to your vehicle and its contents when another driver is at fault, allowing you to deal directly with BCM rather than chasing the other driver's insurer.
Uninsured Automobile
Protects you if you are hit by an uninsured or unidentified driver, such as in a hit-and-run. Ensures you are covered even when the other driver is not.
Enhance Your Policy
Optional Upgrades
Beyond the mandatory coverages, your BCM advisor can help you add protection tailored to your situation. They will walk you through each option and help you decide what makes sense for your budget and your risk.
Get a QuoteCollision
Repairs or replaces your vehicle if you are at fault in an accident.
Comprehensive
Covers theft, vandalism, fire, falling objects, and weather damage.
Increased Accident Benefits
Higher limits for income replacement and medical coverage.
Loss of Use
A rental vehicle while yours is being repaired after a covered claim.
Roadside Assistance
Towing, flat tires, lockouts, and fuel delivery when you need it most.
OPCF Endorsements
Specialized add-ons such as liability for damage to non-owned vehicles.
Local Knowledge
Niagara, We Know These Roads.
The Niagara Region has its own set of driving realities, and your coverage should reflect them.
QEW Commuting
If you drive the QEW corridor daily for work in Hamilton, Burlington, or the GTA, your driving profile is different from someone who stays local. Your advisor will factor in your commute distance and driving patterns.
Seasonal Driving
Winter conditions across Niagara bring ice, lake-effect snow, and reduced visibility. If you store a vehicle seasonally or switch to winter tires, talk to your advisor about how that may affect your coverage and premiums.
Tourism Traffic
Niagara Falls, wine country, and seasonal attractions bring heavy tourist traffic to local roads, especially in summer. More vehicles on the road means more risk, particularly on routes like the Niagara Parkway and Lundy's Lane.
Save More
Bundle Your Vehicles and Policies
Most households have more than one thing to insure. When you bring multiple policies to BCM, your advisor can look for savings across the board.
Multi-Vehicle Discounts
Insure more than one car, truck, or SUV on the same policy and you may qualify for a reduced rate on each.
Auto + Home
Bundling your auto and home insurance with BCM is one of the simplest ways to lower both premiums.
Recreational Vehicles
Motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, and RVs all need coverage too. Package them with your other policies for the best rate.
New Drivers in the Family
Adding a young or new driver to an existing household policy is typically more affordable than a standalone policy.
Why BCM
The Mutual Advantage
BCM is not a brokerage. We underwrite our own policies, which means your advisor is not shopping you around to third-party carriers. They know the product inside and out because it is our product.
Learn MoreFair Pricing
We set our own rates. There is no middleman markup.
Personalized Policies
Your coverage is built around your needs, not pulled from a menu of pre-packaged options.
Annual Refund
When BCM has a surplus at the end of the year, a portion is returned to policyholders.
Your Advisor Knows Your Name
A dedicated advisor handles your policy from day one. No call centres, no repeating your story.
